Here is a peek of my two collections, both Carnegie models.One is my 1996 Retired Collection, and the other is what I call my "Refurbished Collection".Here is:1996 Pteranodon1996 Dilophosaurus1996 Triceratops1996 Plateosaurus1996 Spinosaurus1996 Brachiosaurus1996 Apatosaurus1996 Apatosaurus baby1996 Tyrannosaurus1996 Iguanodon1996 Parasaurolophus1996 Stegosaurus1996 CorythosaurusI also bought the Diplodocus, Allosaurus, Pachycephalosaurus, and Maiasaura with nest off of ebay. The Maia I bought is different from my newer ones. The paint of the nest brown, and the underbelly is painted white pretty thickly. After those additions, I will lack 3 models. Im not sure if I will add them or not....its the Elasmosaurus, Mosasaurus, and Deinosuchus.Here is my refurbished set of Carnegies.2005 Ankylosaurus2007 Amargasaurus2008 Diplodocus2009 SpinosaurusAnd the moment my money and stuff clears on Ebay and such. I'm preordering the new Brachiosaurus. Then buying the Gigantosaurus, Tylosaurus, Itchyosaurus, Crylophosaurus, Miragaia, and Carnotaurus. I have a few other sets of Carnegies besides these, these are just my favorites. I have most of the 2007 re paints, then a Jurassic Park based Carnegie collection...........Hope you enjoyed!

Blaine's extinct arthropods

hey all,

I initially joined this form for the Extant Arthropods thread, but since this is the Dino Toy Forum, thought I'd share my extinct arthropods (and relatives) here.

Lobopodia.
The lobopods are sometimes considered either basal arthropods, or the sister group to the arthropods. Included here are several species from the Burgess Shale Deposits in Canada. The large Laggania cambria is by the Royal Ontario Museum (ROM) in theur Animals of the Burgess Shale collection. The Hallucagenia is by Kaiyodo (DinoTales). The three Opabinia regalis figures are by Kaiyodo (DinoTales), ROM (Animals of the Burgess Shale) and Groovy Tube Books (Gone Extinct).



Trilobita
Shown here are several trilobites (and not all available out there, just all I have, to date). The large Olenoides serratus is by the Royal Ontario Museum (Animals of the Burgess Shale series). There are also Triarthrus and Psychopyge by Kaiyodo (Dinotales) and a generic trilobite by Bullyland. The figures shown in their fossil substratrates include Psychopyge and Metacryphaeus by Geo Fossils and Raymondites by Safari Ltd (Ancient Fossils Toob).



Xiphosura
The following two xiphorans are not extinct, but morphologically very similar to their extinct relatives and truly 'living fossils'. The large figure is the North American Limulus polyphemus by Safari Ltd (Incredible Creatures); the smaller figure is the Japanese Trachypleus tridentatus by Epoch.



Eurpterida
The sea scorpions. From left to right are Eurypterus by Kaiyodo (DinoTales), Pterygotus by Kaiyodo (DinoTales) and Mixopterus by Safari Ltd (Ancient Fossils Toob).



Crustacea.
Not a lot of extinct crustaceans out there in the toy market. Shown here are Eryon sp. by Kaiyodo (DinoTales) and Pulalius sp. by Safari Ltd (Ancient Fossils Toob).



Arthropleuridea.
The arthropleurans were giant extinct relatives of centipedes and millipedes. To my knowledge, this one from Groovy Toob Books (Gone Extinct) is the only one.



Protodonata.
The griffinflies were large, extinct relatives of dragonflies and damselflies. The largest known true insects.
